"The best gun for shooting feral cats is the gun you have at hand when you see them."

Harry Butler. Noted Australian environmentalist

"A feral cat is easy to identify. It is any cat outside of its owners backyard."

Dr John Wamsley. Noted environmentalist and founder of Earth Sanctuaries Ltd.

All of these cats were shot in the western division lands of New South Wales. They are just a representative sample of the colors and sizes of feral cats encountered. The population in the area around where these cats were shot fluctuates depending on the population of prey (rabbits or nesting birds) and some nights we shoot only 1 or 2 and some nights dramatically more. The most shot in one night was 18! The property where they were shot is approximately 25,000 acres, and there has never been a night where we have been shooting when we haven't shot at least 1 cat.

These are some of the native animals that are endangered since the introduction of feral pest species into the Ausrtralian bush.
