Rediscovering Old Jindabyne

Tim and Jo gearing up for a dive to photograph the old bridge. Not the best weather for a dive.

Over the last few years, hardly a month has gone past without us visiting Lake Jindabyne. No matter how many dives we do here every new dive is an adventure. We have been using a sounder to find interesting bottom structure, which we mark with a self centering buoy (which sits directly above the weight). The position of the bouy is recorded by GPS and shore marks so that we can map the sites and hopefully revisit items of interest. 5 times out of 10 we find trees, a further 4 times out of 10 we find trees but also remains of vehicles or farm machinery and that magical 1 in 10 times we find remains of a building.
