Bait your hook with Love

			Is the world's pride
			Truly God's humility?
			For in that 
			Might we not find
			A possibly false sense of righteousness?
			We are wanted to be sure of our faith -
			Sure that what we follow and obey is the only way -
			And yet,
			May that not lead to intolerant views?

			That is not how it should be -
			We have to find common ground -
			We have to be prepared -
			To be able to move to other ground -
			To place one foot in another's views -
			But at the same time
			We have to be careful that our other foot does not slip -
			That our relationship with God does not suffer
			Because of our attempts to understand a way
			That we are told is wrong.

			But even though it may be dangerous,
			We should do so -
			For in this travelling
			We may see more fully
			What God has to offer us.

			We cannot stay enclosed in ourselves -
			Enclosed in only Christian people:
			We must go Fish -
			Standing on a rock from which we will not slip.
			But remember:
			Even the best fisher
			Must sometimes get wet.

			-He must also be ready to understand 
			That some fish
			Simply do not want to be caught -
			All the same,
			The lure and the choice must be there.

			But how can we be sure that we are the only true fishers?
			That we are not simply in one
			Enclosed bay
			Of this island-mountain?

			Of 
			Tolerance,
			Empathy,
			Faith
			And love
			Is the only way for us to walk.
