A Final Silence
Man,
Since he learned how to sin,
Has manipulated,
Tortured,
And polluted the natural world.
He alters the world's natural substances,
With his fouled hands and mind,
And turns them around
To pollute, kill and cannibalise.
If Armageddon were to come,
What of the world would I save?
Very little of humanity is the answer.
Though maybe this should be:
'Very little of humanity's nature'.
For it is mostly only
Those that are consumed by these certain natures
That I wish to be free of.
To be the last being alive on the earth,
To walk the cold and silent plains,
Knowing that it was always meant to be this way
In the end.
To return the world to a frozen silence:
The paramount beauty;
A final, utopious purity.
