Law of Love

			Love is the commandment which is higher than all others -
			For in loving God we wish to obey him,
			And in loving others
			We do not wish to hurt them.

			I have to wonder whether the ways of 
			Leading with the Law are right -
			For by being hit hard with it
			A person may be able to see all the more better 
			What the love of God can do.
			But it is hard to know -
			I myself had to struggle through years of rejecting
			The Law whenever I heard it -
			Thankfully, I came in the end.
			However,
			Is that maybe just how God created me?
			For it seems that far too many
			Are driven away because all they hear is the law -
			They do not know
			That love,
			By God's Grace,
			Precedes his Laws.
			It is the Law that brings us closer to God -
			Important to our relationship -
			But it is only His love, grace and mercy
			That should first find its way into our hearts -
			For only then we will be possibly ready for more.
