Serve the Servant

		God's love continues through all things - 
		He loves us even as we deny Him, 
		Even as we sin in rejection of His path.  
		It is truly amazing 
		And beyond any means of ours 
		To begin to understand or fathom his love.

		For this is why I serve Him:
		He loves
		And is Love -
		He is all that is good
		And nothing that is not.
		He is humble:
		Even though He has awesome power
		He lets us live in free will -

		He did not create us
		To be robots,
		Drones,
		But to each be a human being 
		And to live in relationship with Him;
		And each person who chooses Him
		(For He chooses us all -
		Do we answer?
		For it is us who decides whether we are 'chosen')
		It is a unique path that we each walk -
		One that has been designed 
		By the One who knows exactly
		What life will bless us most.

		He is gentle in His love,
		And once and again and again
		I falter in wonder
		As I attempt to understand
		How He can love me -
		But He does!
		Through all that I have done -
		Through all that I continue to so foolishly do -
		He loves me!
		And for that He deserves my life -
		For that do I try so hard
		To walk in the path
		That he has carved for me.
