Shout to the Lord


		"The energy with which you worship
		Does not reach me -
		Instead I am quieted into refusal,
		Alienation and uncomfort -
		This is not the way
		That I can glorify God -
		This is not the way for me."

		Each person can feel alienated 
		In a form of worship or thanks
		That is too different,
		An atmosphere too dissimilar to their own -
		Uncomfortable,
		Loneliness within a mass.

		It may seem like an odd display of love,
		But it is just a different form of respect,
		A different frequency of outreach -
		It is worshiping God all the same.

I think a lot of people when they go to a different church from usual feel a little out of place - especially if the worship is very different from their own - maybe more raucous and energetic, or alternatively quieter and more 'respectful and respecting' - the thing is, is that each place is worshiping God, and they are doing it out of love, thanks and respect - I think really it's just different levels of noise and different physical approaches - that's all - one is not less than another in levels of respect and love of God.
