Weed of Doubt
Those who disagree with our views
Plant this seed -
And it cannot be touched by the fire -
So, we must think about it,
And in doing so,
Let it grow in our mind.
Once we have done this,
It grows all the more dangerous -
Able to become a great vine -
Entangling our thoughts forever -
But before that happens,
The sapling becomes vulnerable -
Susceptible to our fires of reason -
To burn the presence out of our souls.
We're able to carry on as before,
Left only ashes to remember.
