Like the distant Star

So peaceful and beautiful from afar,
Yet so tumultuous and destructive when you are close
(But not close enough to feel inner peace and love).
Unfortunately, no-one believes you of their power,
And so, go to see for themselves,
Only to learn once more what they had forgotten -
Only to learn once more of the pain.
Some will travel to a distant and different Star,
Others, to one close by in both eye and heart -
It is all dependant on the Hunter,
(And the length it has been since they last felt the flame).
		The amount of time
They can withstand (and enjoy) the incandescence
		Differs from each Hunter
		And from each Star.

		Until,
		Finally,
		There comes one who enjoys
And basks in the glow of this one Star -
		Knowing it is right -
And that One is consumed by the fire.
