Fade the Scar

Her name and face are no longer
Burnt into the surface my mind,
			But deeper down
			There is still the scar.
And it is as if something still resides upon it,
			Something that could re-light
			And return the emotion
			To its former glory.

My heart was pierced and torn asunder by her
			And though dulled,
			It is painful still.
She is still in my mind -
			And I have day-dreams
			Of our joyous empathy-reunion.

			Desiring to become
			All that she despises.
Or becoming all that she wished for...?

			...Fade, scar. Fade...
