Solitude Unforseen
How can this feel so right,
When I know that it is not?
We talk -
It feels so natural;
We laugh -
It feels so comfortable...
But as we walk,
A crack forms between us -
I cannot remember when it started -
As we continue
It becomes a chasm -
Deepening, widening.
Eventually,
The chasm is so wide
That we lose sight of each other,
And we both silently say goodbye.
Why did it feel so perfect and right to begin with -
Only later to be proven so painfully wrong?
